This item is handcrafted from solid mango wood which is a hardwood native to Eastern India. Each piece in this range will be different and bears unique characteristics of its own; it doesn’t resemble any other piece due to the unique grain structure. We cannot offer or guarantee any uniformity. The appearance and texture of reclaimed wood will vary from board to board even when sourced at the same time from the same venue. The joins may be visible and rustic in nature. Our imagery and samples are used to demonstrate the general style and quality of the products but the end product will ultimately differ due to the naturally occurring characteristics of wood. Each piece will have variations such as colour, texture, grain, mineral streaks, small holes and knots which is the character of this timber and are not considered defects. If you are not prepared to accept the variations of this wood, you should consider buying a different product. 

By nature wood will undergo expansion and contraction movements as it adjusts to changes in humidity and temperature. This item will have movement, this is not a fault, but allows for the natural expansion and contraction to avoid splitting. Splits may still occur within the fibers of this natural wood product. We advise you to keep the product in consistent, stable conditions to minimise the effects of temperature and moisture change in the atmosphere. For example, avoiding placing the product close to a heat source to ensure the longevity of the product.
